Typically, proclamations designate a day, week or month for a specific purpose.

Our goal is to obtain a proclamation in every parish in the state of Louisiana.

Awareness is essential for early diagnosis and is key to ensuring effective treatment. Being aware of dysautonomia and its symptoms means people are more likely to get the help needed to manage this condition and it is critical to prevent wasting precious time on the wrong course of treatment.

October is Dysautonomia Awareness Month. Superdome officials illuminated the stadium in turquoise, each year, for one day in the month of October. This is in honor of all those who struggle with dysautonomia and a tribute to those who create awareness about it.

Health Fairs
at nursing schools

By increasing awareness among nursing school students, it will become clear early on that this condition exists, enabling them to pursue further education on the nervous system while still in a school setting, thereby allowing them to recognize symptoms and treatment options.
